
Ifach, a statuesque rock arising from the sea, forms the symbol of the Costa Blanca. Pristine sandy beaches, bustling fishing port with a dozen or more fish restaurants, a sailing marina and club house, coastal cliffs, hidden inland valleys and ravines a mild all the year around climate have made Calpe one of the most sought after areas of the region. Calpe is a city of contrasts where modern buildings and wide avenues harmonize with an ancient fishing village. The old town has a mixture of bars and restaurants tucked away in winding narrow streets and a high street full of modern shops catering for every conceivable requirement. On a Saturday one can visit the 2 km long market, full of stalls offering the finest leather goods, embroidery, and every other conceivable item.
Calpe is blessed with two main beach fronts, the Levante beach stretches north of the ‘Penon’ and has the offers front line beach apartment buildings, which are excellent for investment purposes or for all the year round living. South of the ‘Penon’ is a short rocky foreshore with the remains Roman fish pounds, known as the "Queen’s Baths". Further along are high-rise apartments leading to the base of the old town.
Inland, Calpe has a fine selection of Villas many with dramatic views over the Mediterranean and the green hills and majestic mountains. Bennissa and Teulada two regional centers lie close by and the villages of the Jalon Valley lie within half an hours drive. Just inland from Benidorm is the new major European theme park, called Terra Mitica. The interest that this international attraction is creating makes the investment potential of rental property in Calpe and its environs quite unique.

Alicante airport is just 80km south, in mostly on motorway, and northwards lies Valencia airport at 120km. A narrow gauge train service operates to Denia in the north and down to Altea, Benidorm, El Campello and Alicante to the south.
